IMMUNE SYSTEM
They say a few diseases like chicken pox happen only once in a lifetime and then our body gets immuned to it. How strong and adaptable our immune system is.One of the strongest we would agree.
I saw a photograph of a person crying over the death of his relative who died in the Baghdad attacks today. No feelings, no emotions emerged....Absolutely none...Zilch.The way he was crying, cliche! Happened in Iraq, another cliche!! It would have been the same had it been Sri Lanka, Afghanistan or ...Kashmir.This disease of getting emotional over deaths happening all over can't affect us any more. The immune system is really strong and adaptable you see.
Father rapes daughter, farmer commits suicide........anything at all?Any sign of that silly disease? News; ceratinly it is, not readable though. Naseeruddin Shah's sonfalls from a local train, definitely readable not to miss the very relevant fact that this boy is his first child from his second wife. Absolutely vital information the reporte couldn't have missed at any cost.
It is a mystery to me though, how come we all are still not immuned to the Indian Cricket team's losing streak...Hope. Sania's slip in rankings is still a cause for national worry. Stock Markets, GOSH...I almost forgot, rising sensex every day though expected is something which generates a lot of excitement, we haven't got immuned to it.
150 die in Iraq is passe.....
